b'3.Set Up Your EMR A specific Consent Form is required for telehealth. The patientmust have an option to refuse telehealth sessions. A verbal consent that is documented in your EMR might be sufficient, but a formal consent is recommended. This is not part of the typical, standard Consent Form patientssign when they initially come to your clinic. Discuss the options for telehealth ahead of time with the patient and gauge their comfort with telehealth sessions. If they are willing to proceed, document their consent through this form. You should send a Welcome email with instructions for the client. Explain to them what they need and what to expect. The email should be specific to your program, Include login information, visual cues (what will I see on the screen if Im doing this correctly?) Offer advice for proper positioning of the camera. Send reminders prior to the appointment, so they will notforget. I send a 24-hour reminder, followed by a two-hour reminder. Each is helpful in its own way for patients in planning appointments as a part of their day.Elite Healthcarehttps://www.elitecme.com/Page 6'
